COMUNICACION

PROYECTOS:

COMUNICACION

In the shadow of these external pressures that attempt to undermine the cultural and environmental integrity of our indigenous nationalities, the CONFENIAE considers it of supreme importance to continue implementing our projects of social communication, through the production and diffusion of printed means, radiofónics, and audiovisuals.

By means of our commission for Promotion, Organization and Social Communication, the CONFENIAE from October of 1992 until early 1997 has been carrying out the publication of our regular quarterly magazine "Voice of the CONFENIAE," printing 1600 magazines in each publication, that we have distributed proportionately to all the member nationalities , as well as we sent it to fraternal institutions and friends in the country and the exterior.

It is our desire for the magazine to give voice to all the natives of the Ecuadorian Amazon, a voice that informs and enlightens one to the whole range of opinions on the social burdens, economic and environmental impacts confronting our fragile amazon forests.

We have been looking for mechanisms of self-financing, by means of sales, subscriptions and rent of advertising’s, but this alone is insufficient to cover expenses of publication and shipping, wich are becoming more and more costly.

In order to collect the news from across our territories, compile it, edit, print and ship out the finished publication; It has been costing us over 2,500.00$US per issue. We desperately need assistance as accurate communications are essential. Please fax or call our office in Quito for any current information regarding the status of this project.

PROJECT PROPOSAL:
VIDEO PRODUCTION OF “OUR ORGANIZATION CONFENIAE”
We also believe that it is of great importance in giving pursuit to the work of audiovisual productions, detailing the works of our Confederation, and that in these days we have to be able to use modern technologies in order to maintain the interest of the communities and youth.

In order to carry out all these works we require instruments and modernized teams, reason for which we see necessary to acquire a computer, that will contribute for the layout of the magazine, graphic designs, works of videos and many other important tasks for the organization.

Please contact our office in Quito for updated proposals regarding our video and technology needs.
