Philosophy / Methodology for the Spanish for Diplomats Program

The Spanish for Diplomats Program follows the principles defined in the ACLAS Learning for Life Philosophy. This philosophy encourages program participants to learn through life experiences. The following elements of the Spanish for Diplomats Program reflect Learning for Life:

The Spanish for Diplomats Program includes the following areas:

  • Grammar Structure in Context

  • Daily Life and simulated working situations

  • Listening Comprehension and Corrective Phonetics

  • Free Conversation

  • Ecuadorian and Latin American Culture and Civilization

This program can be modified and adjusted to meet student-specific expectations. For example, it can include areas such as:

  • Functional writing for the diplomatic world.

  • Negotiation techniques for the diplomatic environment.

  • Public speaking techniques for diplomatic purposes.

  • Reading comprehension strategies for work and daily life.

Course Length and Schedule

The Spanish for Diplomats Program lasts one month (four weeks) and is offered throughout the year. However, it can be extended according to student needs and time availability. Please note, programs must be booked one month in advance.
